In 1995, Telenor branched out into a separate company called Opera Software ASA. Opera began production in 1994 as a research project of Telenor, Norway's largest telecommunications company. Adobe Systems licenses Opera technology for use in the Adobe Creative Suite. Some televisions have the Opera browser in their set-top box or settings box. Opera is the only commercial web browser available for Nintendo DS and Wii. About 120 million phones have been published with the Opera browser in it. Various editions of Opera can be used for devices running Maemo, BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Android, and iPhone operating systems, as well as Java ME.
